Coming one week from today: The Pietist Schoolman Podcast returns for a second season!

After Season 1 served as an extended sequel to The Pietist Vision of Christian Higher Education: Forming Whole and Holy Persons, #2 will serve as an extended prequel to my new project for InterVarsity Press. Tentatively titled Hope for Better Times: Pietism and the Future of Christianity, that book should hit bookstores in mid-2017.

But starting next Thursday and then most weeks through April, you can both get an advance preview of that book and help shape its development as I’m joined by co-author Mark Pattie to think aloud through each chapter. Each week we’ll be responding to your questions and suggestions, which you can leave as comments here or on the PSP Facebook page.

S2 will also mark a return to podcasting for my Bethel colleague Sam Mulberry, whom some of you may remember from CWC: The Radio Show and will this season be serving as our producer and audience surrogate.

We hope you come back on Thursday, January 7, 2016 for the first installment of the new season, as Mark and I share our hopes for Hopes for Better Times and start to solicit your feedback on the meaning of Pietism for the future of Christianity.
